For the health and safety of our staff and guests, some of our policies have changed since COVID-19. Please note the temporary updates in place.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase or experience for any reason, please let us know so we can take care of you!
Royal City Nursery is happy to exchange or return all non-plant items purchased from our garden centre, whether in-store or online. Items must be in original, salable condition with all original price tags/ribbons on the product. Original receipt is required.
- Within 7 days: we will gladly exchange or refund any regular priced merchandise in the same manner which is was paid.
- Within 8 – 14 days; the purchase price will be refunded onto a Royal City Nursery Gift Card. Royal City Nursery gift cards never expire and can be used on any product sold at Royal City Nursery.
- Gift Cards, seasonal merchandise (ie Christmas or Easter décor), and SALE items are final sale.
- Christmas gift returns will be honoured until January 10 of the following year.
- A 20% restocking fee may apply at our discretion.

COVID-19 UPDATE: For your health and safety all returned items will be held off the sales floor and steamed prior to being released for sale. Please make sure you love it before you buy it.
- Apparel and accessories returned within 7 days will be refunded onto a Royal City Nursery Gift Card.
- All earrings, jewelry and SALE items are FINAL SALE.
- For all other items, to be eligible for an exchange, refund or Gift Card, the merchandise must be returned unworn, unaltered and unwashed with original tags attached.
- Items without original tags attached are non-refundable.
Live Plants
We guarantee our plants are sold true to name.
All plant sales are final and may not be exchanged after purchase. If you have any questions or concerns about your new plant, please ask for assistance or call 519-824-4998.
Delivery, annuals, perennials, water plants, and replacement plants are not eligible for warranty.
INDOOR PLANTS
ALL indoor plants are FINAL sale. This includes bonsai, succulents, flowering indoor plants, tropicals, air plants, all 4″ plants and patio tropicals.
No refunds.
Our staff are happy to advise you on plants best suited to you and your lifestyle; including watering, fertilizing and light requirements before purchase.
HARDY SHRUBS, TREES, AND VINES
All hardy flowering shrubs, evergreens, vines, and trees are guaranteed for credit or replacement to a maximum of the value paid, for one year from the date of purchase, providing the plant has been properly maintained, planted in the ground, and invoice paid on time. No refunds.
Roses are guaranteed until November 1 of the year of purchase.
Replacement labour charges will be shared 50/50 between the client and Royal City Nursery.
To Redeem Warranty
Please call 519.824.4998 to confirm the process. Dead plant with the original receipt and appropriate plant tags must return to the garden centre within one year of purchase. We can no longer accept photos.
Royal City Nursery reserves the right to deny plant exchanges or credits prior to May 31 and is not responsible for damage or loss caused by animals, insects, disease, or severe weather conditions (flooding, hail, frost, etc.), neglect, improper planting or changing landscapes.
Whether purchased in-store or online, the dead plant and proof of purchase must be brought to our store at 6838 Wellington Road 124, Guelph by the purchaser. The original tags must be brought with the receipt. The plant will be assessed by our nursery and greenhouse team to determine the cause. As we want you to be successful in the long term, Royal City Nursery reserves the right to educate and inform rather than replace.
