DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and educational weekend of family-friendly activities to learn more about gardening\, plant care\, and landscape design tips. \nWhether you are experienced or new to gardening\, this is a great opportunity to get inspired and receive expert answers to your questions. \nExplore our greenhouse and outdoor nursery to find the perfect plant for your house\, garden\, and patio\, and support the Kitchener Oktoberfest Lions Club with their BBQ fundraiser. \n\nEvent features:\n\n\nLive Music (Sunday 1pm – 3pm with Sarah Brix)\nEducational Seminars:\n\nLandscape Design Tips for Shade Areas (Saturday\, 10:15 – 11 am)\nNative Plants for Colour\, Texture & Low Maintenance (Saturday\, 2 – 2:45 pm)\nVegetable Gardening Success: Top Tips for Pests\, Better Flavour & More (Sunday\, 10:15 – 11 am)\nBoxwood Care & Alternative Shrubs (Sunday\, 2 – 2:45 pm)\nQ&A time at all of the seminars – bring your questions!  No RSVP needed.\n\n\nBBQ Fundraiser for the Kitchener Oktoberfest Lions Club (11 am – 2:30 pm both days)\nKids’ Activities & Games (free\, drop-in all weekend long during open hours)\, including:\n\nScavenger Hunt with fun facts\nSeed-planting station\nJenga\nWasher Toss\nMake a Spruce Cone Birdfeeder (parental assistance required)\nConnect 4\nColouring Table\n\n\nAlpacas! (Saturday\, 10 am – 4 pm)\nPet-friendly: we welcome your leashed\, friendly dogs (or cats\, etc.) in store & through the outdoor yard with you\nSelf-guided Educational Tour or Adult Scavenger Hunt — learn helpful tips for gardening success\, and optionally enter to win $50 gift card.\n\nWe are open on Saturday from 8 am – 5 pm\, and Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm.
